Well hello there! Although I mainly use ListenBrainz as my backup in case of Last.fm outages since 2021 (just months in between signing up), but more recently started contributing edits with Imp and Skizz ( Release group vs recording series for podcasts ) for their podcast before starting to cook up with MANEDBENTO!’s BRING THE NOISE EP (it was manual edits before knowing about Harmony: Music Metadata Aggregator and MusicBrainz Importer ).
Outside of being an occasional MusicBrainz editor, I am Autistic from the Philippines currently taking BS Information Technology in college, an open-source developer and BDFL at Recap Time Squad (an all-remote open-source organization based in the Philippines), Hack Clubber (since July 2024 on Arcade YSWS, became part of the alumni society post-senior high school graduation) and writer/blogger.

I’m a huge fan of how technology can make complex data accessible-whether it’s music metadata here or educational notes for students. I’m currently building a personal tool called StudyGuardian (it uses AI to grade handwritten notes!), and that journey led me to Python backend development.
I love how MetaBrainz organizes the world’s music data. I’m really excited to peek under the hood and see how you handle such massive databases.
I’m just starting to set up the local server on my PC. I’ll likely be asking for help soon, but I’m eager to learn!
