I LOVE Navidrome!

Yes, it will be remixer. Which makes zero sense to me. Especially on the initial release of an album. Any idea how to turn that off? He produced, mixed, then remixed it. Shouldn’t put him up as a headline artist due to that.

This makes sense now. It is what I am seeing, but kinda pointless making a list of them while the lists are empty. I assume that is a work in progress.

This is a know limitation of the current UI, we will implement this in the new one.

Feishin has the same problem. It shows remixer in the queue list but not on the tracklist or artist page

My problem is the other way round. I am getting “remix” in the artist field when the album is not a drum and bass remix. This is just an audio engineer doing an audio engineer’s job. Mixing in one location, and then remixing in a different studio before release.

When I tag my drum and bass albums I’ll have the remixer up on the main artist. The track is usually also marked as a “remix”.

Seems odd to me to put a person from one role into a location for a different role.

I also notice this is just a GUI thing as already linking that test server to other GUI’s via Subsonic

I assume this is to allow the remixer (in the sense of a typical remix that heavily modifies the song) to show up when things are tagged using Picard, since MB style guidelines say to leave the remixer out of the artist field.

I do get that, but you can say the same about a lead vocalist. I have remixers in many tracks that just engineers and not a drum and bass style of artist changing someone else’s music. I only thrown a small subset of albums at it so far and noticed lots of Pink Floyd tracks acting the same. Remixer means multiple things.

There is a new GUI coming, so lets hope it is an optional thing. Or at least only appears when a track is actually a remix.

Me does when on my laptop. I actually like the UI very much.

On mobile Symfonium.
