How To Merge These VA Releases

Problem release: Log in - MusicBrainz
Target release: Log in - MusicBrainz

I can’t merge these as i don’t want to create a third disc; but also it then complains that the track lists are off count.

Am I going to need to add Disc 1 manually to the problem release, and then merge?

Edit the (disc 2) and on the tracklist page, use the move mediums arrows to make it medium 2.

Then you should be able to merge them.
