How often are areas synced?

I thought BB used MB’s areas for the place of birth/death, even if the areas aren’t synced at the same time, so whenever I needed a place that isn’t on MB I requested that place to be added. The areas I requested are available on MB for months now, but not here.

How do areas work here? Should I have requested an area specifically for BB?

No need to request from BB, I just don’t update the areas very regularly.
I’ll put it on my list for this week !

In the near future, we will load areas directly from the MB database to avoid having to run this step and falling behind on updates.

That would be perfect. I have more areas to request, but when I noticed the new areas weren’t showing up on BB, I stopped making requests.
