I’m asking because I noticed some discrepancies in the list of my loved tracks. For example, for the recording https://musicbrainz.org/recording/7428023f-51b0-4263-bed7-3323577328b9, which is a live version from “And All That Could Have Been” album, the cover art of “Pretty Hate Machine” is shown, i.e. one of the original studio album.
A stranger example is the recording Recording “Le soleil est près de moi” by Air - MusicBrainz, for which no cover art is displayed at all.
When I went to examine the release with missing artwork, it turned out to be https://musicbrainz.org/release/a7f8ca7d-4fe5-4c40-b940-3df810ec3259/ - a live bootleg that features a different recording.
How does matching cover art (or, maybe more generally, releases) work for loved tracks?
