How are artist collages generated?

namely the collage of album artwork at the top of the page. is it just their first 10 releases? I feel like it should instead be a bit smarter than that, say top albums/EPs/singles?

a couple current examples, both of which miss iconic albums from Vylet Pony and Pink Floyd respectively:

I don’t mind creating a ticket for this, if needed

edit: yeah, looking at Vylet’s releases, it is just the first 10 (non-remix) releases

(Vylet’s also includes some expunged releases, but I just edited those today, so it could be a matter of the change hasn’t propogated yet)

Please create a ticket, the artist pages used to show the most popular releases as collage until recently.
I guess it could have broken due to the recent change which allows sorting releases by listen count or date?

I would agree that the album art collage should be generated based on popularity. Also since the addition of sorting the albums by date (which I really like, along with the breakdown of type), has anyone else noticed then when you toggle between the two album view modes, the first album doesn’t change?
