Not happening for me with Firefox 142.0.1 on Android 14.

I’ve just updated to 142.0.1 and still same bug for me (Android 9). :sob:

I gave it a shot on Fennec, Firefox Nightly and stock Firefox for Android - all seemed to behave properly with no white splash when using either SwiftKey or the stock keyboard on Android 15.

I forgot to say it’s the same for me, whether I use Gboard or SwiftKey keyboard.

According to positive reports, it seems to be the combination of Firefox 142+ with Android 9 and Android 10.

Android 11, 12 and 13, not tested.

No bug with Android 14 and 15.

A little summary of the tested versions we saw:

  • Keyboard (Gboard, SwiftKey, etc.) doesn’t matter
  • Firefox Extensions don’t matter
  • Firefox for Android before version 142: No bug
  • Firefox for Android versions 142 and 142.0.2 same behaviour
  • Real Android or emulator same behaviour
  • Phone or tablet apparently same behaviour
