Why do I get this error? Why doesn’t it go away after I’ve changed the coverart? Even when I download the picture from the net (totally different source) the error is still there. And I’ve told Picard only to save 1 single instance of the coverart.
Coverart error: Error transferring http://ia601500.us.archive.org/17/items/mbid-aa7f4a7d-42dd-4dd3-b691-1bdcd4bb02ba/mbid-aa7f4a7d-42dd-4dd3-b691-1bdcd4bb02ba-33930840747_thumb500.jpg - server replied: Request has been forbidden by antivirus
Do you have any software blocking this URL (firewall / antivirus) running on your machine?
Can you access the URL with a browser from the same machine?
To me, that’s not a Picard issue.
Some anti-virus can be really dumb. It can treat whole servers of the Internet Archive as dodgy just due to one or two bad files lurking there. Nothing wrong with your JPG.
Many years back my AV used to do this to me. Glad to say it has stopped doing that now.
Simple tip - disable anti-virus app when doing a Picard session. Most AV apps let you turn them off for an hour so it will just come back on automatically later in the day. You’d never get infected by artwork downloaded by Picard.
I think you misunderstood my question. It’s more like “Why is the error message still there, after the issue has been resolved?”
