My existing library is formatted as ‘artist>album’. This has led to some chaos from multi-artist albums. Can Picard reorganize to eliminate the directories named after artists and just give me a flat sea of albums?

this is possible, and should be a fairly simple edit to the file naming script
if you’re using one of the preset scripts, you can go to Options → Options… → File Naming → Edit file naming script… → Script → Copy the current script, and then remove everything before and including the first / (unless you’re using preset 3, which might require some extra modification)
if you’re already using a custom naming script, it should be similar, but I can’t say for certain without seeing the script

You can also base your directory structure on just the first artist i.e. only artist on single artist albums, and first artist on multi-artist albums.
