I quite often shorten disambiguations when there is a way to make them more concise without losing anything critical. Sometimes I move lengthier disambiguations to the annotation if they are better suited there.
A disambiguation like “credited for photography on [album/artist]” does not hurt in this situation, imo.
edit: I would expect that disambiguation to be broadened as/if more information surfaces about the artist
