When I scan my music files in Picard I get a red dics with “Could not load album”
This all started this month January 2020. I uninstall Picard countless times and went to the offical musicbrainz site for a new download. No matter how many times I do this I still get this error. I’m not the only one who is getting this error because I see some users on the fourms are having this same issue. Could this be an error with the musicbrainz servers. I know it isn’t my computer I didn’t do any changes just had my IT do a conplete tuneup to it and it working at top performance.
We need to figure out what error you get exactly. Please take a look at Help > View Error / Debug Log and post the output here. You can also right click the album and choose info and it should show some details on why loading failed.
There haven’t been any reports like this recently.
Are you perhaps using a plugin that may cause this?

How do I upload the log file the fourm will not allow me to do so.
You should be able to copy and paste the log content here. Does this happen with all albums or only with specific ones?
This happens on random files.

The beta server seems to have some trouble, I asked on IRC about it. About half the time any request like https://beta.musicbrainz.org/ws/2/release/3975148e-f2d2-4e5d-98fe-bc21fe2fe1a7 gives a server error.
As an immediate workaround change Picard to not use beta.musicbrainz.org but musicbrainz.org.
