Classical release language

Consider the following track list, from this release, where the work title is in English, but the movement names are the typical Italian.

I have always treated releases like this as an English-language track list, regardless of the movement names, and so I would set the release language is “English.” In my experience, I think most editors of classical releases do pretty much the same. But I can find no guideline or discussion that confirms that this is the way it should be.

There is an open edit on this particular release right now, changing the language to [multiple languages]. My instinct is that this should be English, but, with no clear guideline, I don’t know if I’m justified to vote ‘No.’

Thoughts?

I could have sworn that the guideline was to ignore Italian tempo markings when deciding the release language, but of course I can’t find any such reference in the actual guidelines.

So you’re not really justified to vote no, though I would probably have done just that myself.

I vote for English, without a second of hesitation.
Just like Tombé du ciel (live unplugged) would be French.

I would call that “English” as this is exactly as it is described in English. No English release would translate the “Italian” parts as that is how music is described in English. It is an English sentence, just uses Italian words.

Thanks, folks. They also added a more precise release date, which is an improvement. I voted ‘abstain,’ and added a note explaining why the language should be English.
