I have been using this marvel for some time but haven’t found a way to do this.
I have music like this : Main Artist (Second Artist) - Title.
I want my music tagged with main artist and the (second artist) removed.
is there a way i can do this with picard ?

Yes. Have a look at the Additional Artists Variables plugin. The User Guide provides full information on the additional variables available to scripts, along with a couple of examples of how it could be used.
If you still need some help, please post a copy of your file naming script so we can see how to integrate the changes to accomplish what you want.
