i haven’t found a way to get the Artist tag from the database to be saved in my files “as is”

Gets retrieved by Picard as “Tom Petty And the Heartbreakers”
were as with albumartist the tag gets saved as “Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers”
How do i get the Artist tag saved as like in the database?
Which release are you tagging? The artists will by default be used as entered for the release and tracks.
If you always want to tag with the primary artist name you can enable the “use standardized artist names” option.

then i lookup with Picard and the Artist is tagged with “And the Heartbreakers”
doesn’t make any difference if i use “standardized artist names” option or not

no i haven’t. A few plugins though, made me think…disabling them, helped, so even though they shouldn’t interfere, they do… thanks. So i can check the plugins one by one
