A while ago I noticed that the map of the origin of the artist stopped adding bands and I think it is not counting the new scrobbles either. I don’t know if this problem has already been reported, but I share it in case it is not the case.

I am having the exact same problem - I had noticed it sometime in September, perhaps mid-September, and I had intended to post on this last week but was busy at work and now found some time to come here and am relieved to see someone else has done so.
One of the patterns I seem to notice is that sometimes the system will log a single play, but in reality there have been 30. Other times they are completely MIA. However, I just saw that my map for September has updated somewhat. I am theorizing it might be a lag in the system.
I also notice other anomalies - like artists that appears for ‘last month’ in a country that has zero other artists I listen to, but does not appear for ‘this year.’
A good few LB systems are stuck right now…
“Created for you” is stuck, “Similar Users” may be stuck (my similar users haven’t changed in a while) and now this…

Judging from https://listenbrainz.org/user/OlivierM/stats/?range=week and https://listenbrainz.org/user/OlivierM/stats/?range=this_week, I’d say the maps got stuck somewhere in early August, for me.
Yeah, somewhere in august my map got stuck too.
Something interesting: my artist origins map appears to be fixed.
Something also interesting: the ticket that was opened still appears as ‘unresolved.’ This is probably for the best since a deeper issue has to be addressed about them getting stuck and it may not be solved for all people. However, the good news is that those who may still be stuck can have hope that it can automatically correct itself at some point, so even if the issue is not being addressed quickly by the staff (who I respect and appreciate and I think may be doing this as a labor of love), there’s still perhaps even a likelihood the problem will autocorrect.
That is good resilience in a system.

We have recently been working on making all those various systems that regularly crash more stable, as well as getting notified automatically and not by you our dear users 
There are a lot of moving parts and a variety of issues, sometimes it’s a simple matter of restarting a machine, other times we need to rewrite a good chunk of a feature.
So don’t expect all of these stability issues to be resolved straight away, but know that we are aware of them, also frustrated with them, and we are actively working on stability as a matter of priority.
Please keep calling us out when things aren’t working, it helps 
For Global Reasons I decided to have Canada Week in my players. The listens are showing everywhere but the Artist Origin chart, which has been showing the same thing since maybe Sunday.
From reading the previous topic, it seems like Artist Origin uses a different queue that can get stuck.
I made a topic to avoid necrobumping the one from September, but let me know if that would have been preferable. That topic said “please let us know” so I am, but if there’s a better mechanism than a post here, let me know.

I can see different stats between “this week” and “last week” in both my map and yours, so it doesn’t seem to be super-broken?
I suppose either it is stuck, but only recently, or isn’t set to run daily/as often as the other stats. Any idea @mr_monkey? If it runs on a different cycle to stats I’ll add it to the data intervals doc.

Lucifer has identified a mismatch between how we run the artist origin stats compared to other stats, and confirmed that the artist origin stats are not calculated as often (old stats were still present in the database, causing new stats not to be run more than once a week).
He’s fixing the issue to make sure we run those stats calculations at the same frequency, daily.
Hi there! I’m quite new to the community and maybe some things I mention might have been addressed in the past, so please be patient with me :).
I’ve been trying to imagine new methods to dig for new music and I thought that the artist origins map would be a nice place to start. But either it’s broken or I’m not using it correctly. If I select global and last month I imagined that I would see top artists (played) from several countries, but the map is severely incomplete. For example, only two artists in Spain or Brasil, Africa is mostly empty as it is the Middle East or eastern Europe. I simply cannot imagine so little artists from those origins being played globally. So, I just wanted to just ask for feedback from other users in this closely related topic. Thanks in advance! The Artist Origins map has been completely broken or unavailable for several days. It just shows the message: There are no statistics available for this user for this period. This does not only happen for my own user, but seems to be the case for most other users as well.
@stormyblog I can see that this would be confusing, but we calculate the top 1000 artists in ListenBrainz and show them on the map.
It would be a much better tool if we calculated the top 15 artists for each country and showed that on the map, it would make it a nice exploration tool !
