I Regarding this screenshot… Is it okay to change the “Get Guilty” and “Shut Down the Streets” album information so that it shows “A.C. Newman” instead of “AC Newman”?
That depends on what is on the cover
(if you want all to be the same, there’s an option in the settings to always use the artist name IIRC).

Just to clarify further:
- The Musicbrainz style guidelines say that the way the album artist is shown in Musicbrainz should follow the artist’s intent as embodied by how it is shown on the album cover (or advertising). These three albums follow the artists intent i.e. 2 as AC Newman and 1 as A.C. Newman.
- Although they are correctly displayed in 2 albums as AC Newman, they do all correctly use the same underlying Artist record for A.C. Newman.
So the Musicbrainz data is correct and IMO shouldn’t be updated.
But as @IvanDobsky has pointed out, if you use Standardised Artist Names, you can use the underlying artist name A.C. Newman instead of the displayed name AC Newman. (I do this, not the least because I want my file naming scripts to put all albums from the same artist into the same directory and not have separate directories for A.C. Newman and AC Newman (and possibly Newman, AC and Newman, A.C.).
