Arabic or Roman numerals?

This is kind of a minor thing, but should you use Arabic or Roman numerals for movement numbers on a release? E.g., should it be:

Sonata no. 1 in C major: I. Allegro

or:

Sonata no. 1 in C major: 1. Allegro

or do you just follow the source?

Traditionally, Roman numerals are used for movement numbers, but I can’t find anything about it in the guidelines. So I’d say follow the release for the track titles at least. For the work titles, I would use Roman numerals, if only out of habit.

Yeah, this was my thinking, too. Good to know that it’s not just me. I think I’ll follow this unless the guidelines change. Thanks!

Edit: By ‘this’, I mean tracks = release, works = Roman numerals.
