How do I enter 70BC for the start date of the Amphitheatre of Pompeii?
It doesn’t like a -ve in the year edit box.
Or am I about to get things thrown at me by the database date devs?

You don’t, yet. I have code in the works to support years BC, but it hasn’t been merged yet (we have a few that slipped through the forms somehow)

So what happens with the date -070? I have just entered that for the theatre and although it looks a bit odd like this, it is displayed without error.

@reosarevok - excellent. So you are ahead of my troublemaking. 
@mfmeulenbelt - interesting. I tried padding it but -0070 didn’t work for me. Guess it needed exactly four characters. Nicely solved by asking Socrates.

Hmmm. I just created this one with a start date of -200. Didn’t think it would actually work. Has there been any progress in improving support?
