Adding New 'Identical' Digital Media Releases

I was directed to this topic from another I started:

Deezer links and references for releases

With editors using Deezer references for releases, and using them to create releases that are different only by Deezer data points, how does MB approach this? Deezer links, those used for album references, are not public access. This is my finding, I may be wrong, so please correct if this is not the case. I don’t think release data alone is a good enough criteria to make a new digital release for a release that matches exactly with a prior one.

Could you clarify what you mean by “release data”?
