I typed “pop” and just hit enter, thinking it would submit exactly that. Instead, it selected and submitted “alternative pop” (the first result listed) which the artist isn’t really that (it sounds way closer to/more like early 00’s style teen/dance pop closer to RNB than alternative). I tried clicking the minus button, but it wouldn’t do anything. How do I undo this mistake? So a request I would make is to not select the very first top result when hitting enter, especially if there’s already a tag that is exactly what has been typed there
I can’t confirm the problem of withdrawing tags on LB right now but have experienced the same in the past sometimes.
Since tags are submitted and stored in MusicBrainz you can just go to your tags page and undo them from the affected entity there too.
Hi @DiaEnLaStellastan !
Thanks for the feedback, indeed I can see how it could be frustrating that it automatically selects the first item on pressing enter.
I’ve created a ticket to track this: https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/LB-1989
For the tag removal, do you see that same as me?
When you hover over the tag (should be green if you voted on it), you should see a cross instead of the plus/minus buttons, and clicking it will remove your vote.

If that is not what is happeniong for you that looks like it could be a separate bug.
Yeah I tried tapping the tag (tapping because I’m on mobile), and no X appears. Only the plus and minus icons show up. Maybe it’s a mobile problem![]()
