Genre tags that are added to the top level of a release group do not seem to flow down to the releases contained within?
Any reason for this in particular? I would say that releases in a group would all be of the same genre? I understand custom tags not flowing down as some people may be grouping attributes of specific releases.
The main reason is just that genres are just part of the tag system and we do not currently copy any user’s tags elsewhere on entry, so it would be an unexpected change. Eventually we might want to change that though. They shouldn’t flow down to recordings though, since something that generally applies to a whole release (because it applies to most of the tracks) might not apply to a specific track inside it
