Can someone please help me understand why my edit failed dependency? I don’t really understand the explanation.

Is it just because I had added the disc ID before it finalized? That didn’t happen with another release I fixed the track order then added the disc ID:
If I just do it over again will it go through this time? Or is there something I need to do differently to get it to work?
Yes, I think it is about the edit Edit #148654099 - MusicBrainz , which also changed the durations, which then conflicts with the failed edit. Redoing the edit should pass, if not again another edit changes the tracklist in between.
I can’t figure that one out either. Weird. I see nothing in the edit history that should have caused that. It says the track listing changed, but I see no edit other than the one that failed doing anything with the track listing.
But that was 7 days before it failed. Wow. So, it goes through the whole 7 days even though it has already failed. I thought that might be it, but surprised that just applying a disc ID like that would cause the edit to fail.
As far as I know, it’s impossible to reorder tracks or change their lengths when a disc ID exists. If you try again, you’ll see that it is impossible to reorder the tracks. There are at least two options:
I suspect that the first is less destructive to people who have already used the MBIDs in the current order.
You can also rename the tracks, then manually switch the recordings. I guess the main question is whether the recordings have a lot of info associated with the “wrong” track or not.
I didn’t even notice the arrows on the side until I read this. I did initially just try to rename everything/fix the track lengths
That’s the way I tried it at first so I guess I’ll just do it over. Looking at each of the recordings, the rest of the releases have it right so the recording lengths are correct anyway.
