What would be the best way to enter a collection of concert recordings

Hi all,

I’ve been pulling recordings off the board at some local venues and putting them up on the Internet Archive. I normally split each song out into individual tracks before uploading, and until now I’ve been adding them on musicbrainz as standalone recordings and adding an event relationship to link them back to the event they were recorded at.

I was wondering, however, if it would be better to put these all into a release? If so, I assume I’d use primary type “Other”, and then mark the secondary as a live recording, then batch add the recorded at event relationship to the recordings. Or would this be incorrect? I’m not sure how best to handle a collection of live recordings that aren’t really organized into an album or anything.

Any thoughts on the best way to handle this would be appreciated.

Thank you, I’ll do it that way. I did actually read that page while trying to figure it out, but didn’t think of it applying since it’s not really a bootleg (everyone is aware it’s being recorded and that it’s going on the archive and what not).
