My playlists have become stuck multiple times and have not updated since Dec 15. Is there anything I can do to resolve this? Thanks in advance.
By any chance, did it crap out again? My weekly playlists (both exploration and jams) have been stuck for a week now. It didn’t reset last week and neither this week too. I tried seeing on the api endpoint and it says that I haven’t listened? to anything from like two weeks ago but that is simply not true lol.
Hey, I’ve been using ListenBrainz for over two months (username: Dereal) and my Weekly Jams playlist has never been generated, while Daily Jams and Weekly Exploration both work fine.
I’ve checked the usual suspects:
- Following troi-bot
- 3,400+ listens, all mapped to MBIDs
- CF recommendations are being generated: https://api.listenbrainz.org/1/cf/recommendation/user/Dereal/recording returns 1000 results, last updated 2026-05-02
Everything seems to be in order on my end, but the Weekly Jams playlist simply never appears. Could someone take a look at whether my account is being picked up by the weekly playlist generation job? Thanks!
Oha, I missed this thread.
My jams/recommendations are borked a lot, as well - from completely random explorations (looks like random MBIDs) mid-April to no exploration on the 27th, to neither jams nor explorations this week.

- I’m very, very actively listening for 30+ days
If it’s something site-wide, hope you can fix it. If it’s something specific with my user, could you have a look, please?

This week I didn’t get any recommendations sadly, my daily playlist refresh still works just fine…

Well, I missed this thread. Weekly Jams and Exploration have been working really well these past few weeks but good things never last does it? They’re back to being stuck this week, I hope it will get fixed soon. Cheers

Yeah, same here. No updates this Monday for both “Weekly Jams” and “Weekly Exploration”
Seems my playlists are also stuck as of sometime after the 20th of April. I’m not sure if this helps at all, but I did coincidentally update my timezone from UTC to Australia/Perth sometime around the 27th. I just assumed I would at worst miss a week of recommendations
API/Raw Recommendations page linked in this thread are working fine, and I haven’t noticed it not generating me a playlist in the past

I assume that a single user changing their timezone around the time of playlist generation wouldn’t cause flow on effects to others, but I wouldn’t put it past being a weird edge case gremlin
Edit 2026-05-06: after following troi-bot it seems to have resolved itself on my account, now with the added benefit of daily mixes, thanks!

Same here, daily jams is updating fine, but Weekly Exploration is stuck, and no other playlists have been generated
Yea, mine is down as well.
I don’t want to necrobump or open new threads so this one is vaguely related… I like to post my album grid on Mondays after the weekly stats have settled, but as of now “This Week” is stuck at “Apr 27 - May 01” and the last couple of days aren’t showing. I actually bought a new album this week and wanted to people to see that I do move forward sometimes
No big, it has sorted itself before.
Same problem here, the playlist just didn’t generate on Monday and now on Tuesday it’s still showing the old ones.
My playlists seem to have been updated today (Wednesday May 15, around 6AM CEST). I guess somebody kicked the servers to do something

Based on my daily jams playlist mine seem to be stuck since Saturday, API shows last updated yesterday morning but nothing has been generated this week for my account.
edit: looks like at least the weekly playlists are working now
Hi everyone,
our stats server is really struggling at the moment and breaks down every other week (either the stats, or the playlists, or some other part as we play whack-a-mole).
We are working on replacing parts of our infrastructure to fix these unreliability issues, but as they are so integral to most features and a complete rewrite, it is taking a while to set up.

The playlists should have been generated yesterday for everyone, but if it’s not the case for you let me know your username and I can have a closer look.
