Separate release groups for album samplers?

It is not the first time I am wondering this. Should we have a separate release group for a promotional sampler, an extract of some tracks of an upcoming album, for instance sent to journalists, instead of the full (promotional version) of the album? I think it is at least the second time recently that I am merging a sampler RG into the album RG: Edit #82712273 - Merge release groups Edit #83033413 - Merge release groups

I think it is because the auto-edit only works on a track name and not an artist name. I corrected a Featuring to featuring earlier and that is also stuck in limbo.

A conflated MB and a conflated Discogs (which was mostly fixed a couple years ago) led to the recent creation of a new MB.
But which name should it be?

The full legal name, which does not “require” disambiguation. Or the proper artist name, which is an exact name match and therefore will require disambiguation.

i did not say disambiguation will be unneccessary. if you feel the need to add disambiguation, you can, but i am extending the name because that is literally the artist’s name.

They are all to fix up disambiguation comments on recordings that are different from the disambiguation comments on the other recordings on the same release.

Not necessarily a voting request as rather a review one. I have just added a gargantuan, 52-track compilation commemorating 30th anniversary of Tresor label & club:

I tried my best to match artists to our db as well as recreate title style, but with this many tracks I could make mistakes. If anyone’s willing to take a closer look, I would appreciate it.
