UI question about preferred release country and medium format

I’m very confused about the settings for preferred release country and medium format. I even found a similar thread and would have posted there but that thread is from 2019.

Confusing settings - preferred Release countries & formats. Is the left the preferred or the right?

I can’t tell if I’m supposed to move my preferred release countries & preferred formats to the right column if I do prefer them or move all other countries and formats to the right-hand column if I do not prefer them. It would be nice if the columns were labelled “Preferred” and “Not Preferred” or something. And, as obvious as it is, include a note on the sliders for release types to indicate moving the slider to the right increases its preference. Also, if it showed its current value because…

I have the same problem, in Picard 3.0b7, it would really be helpful to know which is the right column to add the preferred release country and medium format.

Maybe it would even be better to have a list and an “Add” and “Remove” button.

The right list is the preferred. It is initially empty and you select the ones you prefer.

I agree that a single list to add to in some way would be less confusing
