We regularly have some quite technical virtual machine discussions starting in MB category.
I think very few people really understand them.
Each time I see a new one, I feel that we should have a dedicated (sub?) category as it feels a little bit off topic in #musicbrainz’s root.

Yes, I agree. There should be a sub category for technical and development discussions.
