So I have initially added 96,000 files to MBP and about 100 complete albums were identified initially. Out of a list with several thousand albums. How do I select only the gold disks to save. Other than going through the list and CNTRL select EACH ALBUM individually.
Also. Could I request they someone move the Remove from being immediately under the save option.
Firstly: It’s never a good idea to load a big collection in to Picard all at once. Work in stages, a set of folders/artists/albums at a time. And please back up files before trying out ‘save’ for the first time, or when changing settings.
Secondly: Are you using cluster + lookup? This will keep your albums together, assuming you have a decent ‘album’ tag on most of them. Scan is a last resort (it does not maintain clusters), and will often end up splitting your albums, as you’ve found.
I wouldn’t trust hitting ‘save’ on complete albums pieced together from a big library, using scan. Start over, and start small
Hi I understand you are suggesting (strongly) a different option. Does this mean there is no way to save the gold albums other than selecting them one at a time?
