If I go to the Echo & the Bunnymen page - Echo & the Bunnymen - MusicBrainz and then Show all release groups the Album + Live section is expanded with bootleg albums - this is what I expect.
But if I go to to the Björk page - Björk - MusicBrainz
and then Show all release groups the Album + Live section doesn’t change, but then if I go the second page there is now another Album + Live page which seems to be all the bootleg albums
I cannot understand the difference in behavour between the two artist pages.
That’s probably connected to MBS-11748, but maybe @Bitmap can explain why the grouping isn’t working as expected either, not just the sorting inside the group.
Yeah, it’s related to “Unofficial” release groups always being paged after official ones.
The confusion arises because if all official & unofficial release groups fit on a single page (or get paged together in general), they’ll still be grouped together under the same type header. The type groupings like “Album + Live” don’t group all results together, just the results on that page. This is definitely confusing and can be improved.
Also those “official” release groups can still contain bootleg releases, so one might even find some bootlegs there and not in the second list. I think that ads to the confusion additionaly.
