I’m new to using the search capabilities of MusicBrainz.
Actually quite confused with the advanced search dialog.
It appears there is no “album name” query type.
It appears that if I enter catno:“ECD 3033” and tick the indexed search with advance query syntax it is supposed to override the Type textbox (which is defaulted to Artist).
But, that returns the artist ECD and vrious other matches with “ecd” in the artist name. And, nothing with a catalog id with the letters or numbers.
Even after reading the beginners guide and the how to’s I’ve not had the AHA! moment.

No, you should still change the type to release
Search results - MusicBrainz - it seems we just don’t have that catalog number though.

Instead of “album name,” think of “release title.” If you set the type to “release,” then enter your album’s title, that should be all you need (if MB has the release).

If you use the search in the upper right corner of the MB webpage, you can switch from Artist to Release
MusicBrainz uses the term ‘Release’ to refer to what most people call an ‘Album’.
If you are only looking for one specific song, you can select either ‘Recording’ or ‘Work’.
The same dropdown-box applies to the ‘Advanced Search’:
