Hi,
I would like to share with you, [Resonate](https://resonate.is/), another streaming music service I discovered last night through a podcast, sorry it’s in french:

https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?visual=false&url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F639731169&show_artwork=true&maxheight=166

But an [about page](https://resonate.is/about/), resume everything. This service is a cooperative, and means, I quote: “one-member, one-share, one-vote system brings democracy to the platform, and gives all members a voice”. Royalty payments are base on blockchain databases
and it’s open source (code will be available soon according to the podcast). Reminds me some recent reflexion from @rob:

> [@Metadata is the biggest little problem plaguing the music industry](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/metadata-is-the-biggest-little-problem-plaguing-the-music-industry/430027/45):

> I’ve seen many companies come in with the best of intentions to try and “fix” the problems in the industry. Most recently a wave of companies all wielding blockchains had all the answers and one by one they all died out – mostly kept out by the industry itself. And industry resistant to any sort of change.

> So my question is this: How do we build a parallel universe music industry? Rather than change the existing system, can we imagine a better system with fewer intermediaries who are taking money without adding real value? Can we pay artists and curators fairly? Can we make it more interesting for new entrants into the market, wether they are artists, curators or computer geeks?

Marie Gauthier also confirm they want to work with other organization with the same goals and already work for example with [MYCELIA’s CREATIVE Passport](http://myceliaformusic.org/creative-passport/).
