Is it not possible to add a lyricist on a per track basis? I only see it listed per release. The single I’m trying to add has 2 separate lyricists.

You’ll have to create works for the recordings, then you can add things like composers and writers to the work. The easiest way would be through the relationship editor: How to Use the Relationship Editor - MusicBrainz
