Ah man this sucks. Diabaté was amazing, he’s based on my understanding the equivalent of Jimi Hendrix in the kora world. Everyone who likes beautiful and emotional instrumental music should check him out.
My favourites are the two albums he did with Ali Farka Touré (“In the Heart of the Moon” and “Ali & Toumani”) which are calmer and relaxing (and easier to listen to) compared to some of his solo albums but they also features some kora shredding and mind blowing solos. My favourite tracks on those two albums are “Kadi Kadi” on their first album and the drone-like “56” on “Ali & Toumani”.
