### @Freso

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659829/)

> [@Freso](#):
>
> It doesn’t look like I did much of anything the last week, apart from being around and about…
> […]
> oh, I forgot one thing: I’ll be off to perform at [Musik over Præstø Fjord 2016 - MusicBrainz](https://musicbrainz.org/event/1c496d19-fe8a-4fcf-808b-ecebdf2ca622) this coming weekend, so I’ll be mostly gone for Thurs-Sun or Fri-Sun (aiming for the latter).

### @reosarevok

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659834/)

> [@reosarevok](#):
>
> I did support, spent four days at a folk festival ([https://maarjanuut.bandcamp.com/](https://maarjanuut.bandcamp.com/) is awesome!)
> And added [http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/STYLE-652](http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/STYLE-652) and [http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/STYLE-657](http://tickets.musicbrainz.org/browse/STYLE-657)
> I am _really_ planning to deal with the crowdfunding stuff this week. I’m still a bit on the fence re: the scam possibilities
> But I’ll figure something out
> And some editing.

### @bitmap

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659839/)

> [@bitmap](#):
>
> opened a pr to replace memcached with redis in mbs
> dockerized the caa-indexer and opened a pr for that
> added production-cron stuff (hourly, daily scripts) to mbs docker stuff
> tried testing everything on google cloud but still working on that
> did a bit of code review otherwise

### @Gentlecat

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659872/)

> [@Gentlecat](#):
>
> I updated IRC hooks on github for our projects. so now we no longer get notifications about pushes into LB repo, which were pretty noisy and not so useful
> now we do get notifications about PRs not just for LB though
> also done some review of code
> started writing some contribution guidelines that we were thinking about for a relatively long time now
> continued dockerizing stuff (CAA redirect, LB)
> finally figured out how to jenkins with docker
> or docker with jenkins

### @Rob

> I spent a bunch of time doing musicbrainz-vm stuff, reviewing LB PRs and testing code. made a pile of new bug reports with a goal to merge the biggest PR very soon.
> I also did the usual biz dev stuff, but nothing terribly interesting.
> we did collect $40k from google and $36k from Universal, so our bank account is looking happy. 🙂

> Looked a bit into failing travis builds of Picard, which was due to recent mutagen changes.
> Added some documentation into my soc code.
> Improved my album dialog for better display of search results. Git branch: [https://github.com/rahul-raturi/picard/tree/embed\_search\_(release)](https://github.com/rahul-raturi/picard/tree/embed_search_(release))
> Spent some time trying to understand how picard handles coverarts downloading. I’m trying to display covers alongside search results.

> Got two pr’s up this week, one merged, one almost ready. Added JSdoc to my achievement module. And a bunch of rebasing to clean up my commits and make them much easier to merge.
> Tests are still being added as I go along, rebasing all my old work and cleaning it up still
> looking on track to finish in time for the deadline 🙂

> Last week I worked on the API end point to get low-level data for upto 200 recordings in a single request. This week I will be writing the client code to actually recieve the dataset and run the corresponding job on it.

## VideoBrainz

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659964/)

@dukeja (jduke) talked about [the discussions happening on starting a VideoBrainz project](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/moviebrainz/19958).

They have created a GitHub organisation for the early versions of their thoughts on the project: [videobrainz · GitHub](https://github.com/videobrainz)

@dukeja also asked for advice on getting a development environment set up, which @Rob volunteered to help advice on.

## Crowdfunding relationships

[Making sure you're not a bot!](https://chatlogs.metabrainz.org/brainzbot/metabrainz/msg/3659997/)

Continuing discussion from the forums ([Donation / patronage relationship (STYLE-327)](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/donation-patronage-relationship-style-327/87787), [Crowdfunding relationship (STYLE-546)](https://community.metabrainz.org/t/crowdfunding-relationship-style-546/87785/)), @reosarevok asked for thoughts/opinions on the possibility of fraud with these links.

There was a bit of discussion back in forth. In the end, it was decided to not treat these relationships different from those of e.g. shop links and trust the community to weed out bad ones before harm is done.

We also touched a bit on how we’re already disclaiming that we have «No warranty or liability for errors […]. [Data] is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind for correctness or completeness.» even if it is stated in a probably [less than optimal location](https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Social_Contract) and that it might be good to move, or at least copy it, to (an)other place(s). No resolution was reached on this though.
