> I followed up on the April Fool’s joke and ended up getting some valuable ideas for the real recommendation system in the process
> Other than that, spent way too much time playing reddit’s CircleOfTrust and way too little learning for my last exam
> Read a couple papers regarding user recommendation and mailed one author to ask for access to their code

> FINALLY added: [https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/INST-513](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/INST-513) \o/
> I know a lot of people have wanted this so I hope people now will also help move the ones credited with “basso de gamba” (and similar) from [String instrument “viola da gamba” - Recordings - MusicBrainz](https://musicbrainz.org/instrument/be34e4e5-6e77-46f5-ab56-c9641d3da213/recordings?page=4) (I did the first 3 pages)
> there are 40 pages left to do, but there are on average 3-5 or so entities of “bass” on each page (people are of course welcome to check the others too, but :'D)
> Something I forgot to ask last time: I need various language names for “guitar family”
> German, Greek, Finnish, French, Japanese, Dutch, Polish and (Brazilian) Portuguese
> I know we have members in most of these languages so I’m hoping for replies either here or on Freso’s community post
> FINALLY started working on [OTHER-327](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/OTHER-327) (that is the instrument blog-post I had half or so finished aaages ago (sorry :( for the wait))
> _also_ working on [OTHER-326](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/OTHER-326)
> Also added several instruments, regal, baroque guitar, mm.
> (mm. is “closed a bunch of really old and incomplete tickets”)

This week I worked on [refactoring some dump\_manager code in CB](https://github.com/metabrainz/critiquebrainz/pull/200). Also, sent in a PR to [call for action to MusicBrainz for adding missing Cover arts via CB](https://github.com/metabrainz/critiquebrainz/pull/202). (on review and release group pages). Also, started working on adding blurbs (quick reviews) for entities on CB. Should be able to open up the PR for blurbs this week.[/quote]

> Firstly I completed my left over work for the opened PR’s on getting high-level data for multiple recordings at once and for adding features to select SVM parameters. ([AB-21](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/AB-21) and [AB-98](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/AB-98)).
> And then I worked on two more tickets ([AB-298](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/AB-298) and [AB-327](https://tickets.metabrainz.org/browse/AB-327)) and also opened PR’s for the same. The work includes adding a feature to download an entire dataset of any user in one click in the AB dataset editor page.
> I also worked on validating dataset structure before submitting for evaluation and validating dataset contents after submission.
> And now I am planning to put the AB code in an acousticbrainz package this week just like LB and CB.

> I see two paths forward:
>
> 1. We work out a system where all the accounts are deleted in one go. (challenging)
> 2. We do not allow deleting an MB account until other accounts have been deleted. (also challenging)

> Thoughts?
> jog my memory, what did we decide at the summit?

There was additional technical discussion as well as some general comments and questions, but there was overall consensus for figuring out a way to go down path #1.

@Zas
I eventually found a solution for me so it’s OK but do you think that has to do with my issues accessing MB?
I installed an extension to Vivaldi called [Proxy SwitchyOmega](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/proxy-switchyomega/padekgcemlokbadohgkifijomclgjgif/related) and enabled a proxy for `*.musicbrainz.org`, `*.staticbrainz.org` and `*.coverartarchive.org`.
Without that, those three domains (only) were not responding to me (office connection behind firewall), recently.

Not sure what’s your issue here, contact me on IRC, so we can sort it out.

Thanks for your help. Acutally I work arounded it so no problem. 👍
I think each time certificates change, it breaks my access for a little time then everything comes back to normal, after one or two weeks. And I have that tool for the period in between, so NP. 🙂
