I have recent experience which gives weight to tigerman325’s raising of this issue now.
https://musicbrainz.org/edit/50759319 failed due to a no vote by insolite and subsequent non-voting by enough other editors.
This was despite my having opened a thread seeking community input.
So tigerman’s edits could well fail even though they appear to be in line with current practice.
