One of the artists I often listen to uses base64 to encode their titles. I believe this is done to make it difficult for people to search for, so you have to be “In the know”. I asked the artist on discord whether she intends people to decode the titles, and she said they are “mostly meant to be decoded”. Because of this, I have been going through all of the entries, decoding the title, then adding the original encoded tilte as an alias. I set all these up to be reviewed JIC someone has a counterargument.
However, I now realize what I actually did is rename the release groups, leaving the releases and recordings unchanged. Here is my question(s):
-
Are there any bulk editors available?
-
I believe I need to edit the release group, release, and recording titles, (Though perhaps the recording can stay the original title?) But is there anything else that needs to be changed?
Anything would be helpful. I am not looking forward to make 30+ edits by hand…
