New CD id for existing release, but TOC track length mismatch, what should I do?

Hi I’m ripping a CD “Pure Garage Classics” (EZ, 2003) with whipper and it can’t match the CD to a musicbrainz release.
Manually looking it up I found a matching release here
but the track lengths don’t quite match.
Medium track lengths: 4:01, 3:47, 2:45, 3:27, 3:12, 2:44, 3:47, 3:40, 2:45, 4:07, 2:58, 4:12, 2:38, 3:48, 3:56, 3:56, 4:51
CD TOC track lengths: 4:02, 3:47, 2:45, 3:28, 3:12, 2:45, 3:47, 3:40, 2:45, 4:08, 2:58, 4:12, 2:38, 3:48, 3:57, 3:56, 4:51

So differences being (existing, mine):
Track 1: 4:01, 4:02
Track 4: 3:27, 3:28
Track 6: 2:44, 2:45
Track 10: 4:07, 4:08
Track 15: 3:56, 3:57

Should I create a new release in the existing release group? The album art etc all looks identical, I’m not sure why a few of the tracks are slightly different lengths.

Hi plaicehunter and welcome.

Taking a look at the history of this release, these track lengths came from the original addition back in 2006, Edit #5475444 - MusicBrainz. Given nobody has added any disc ID already, and your lengths are within 1 second (rounding difference perhaps), I say for certain you should add your disc ID to this release. After you do, an option will become available on the disc ID page to ‘Set track lengths’ from the disc ID (if it doesn’t happen automatically).

Another good evidence is that the Discogs release you linked has no ‘master’ group, so no other versions exist there either.

Great, I’ve done this for the full album now - thanks!
