I don’t see benefits of editing the copied URL to conform to the tedious specific [[mb:tag/video%20release|video release]] syntax instead of just pasting the copied URL in external link format:

[https://musicbrainz.org/tag/video%20release video release]

  • Pasting plain URL is so much quicker than using these internal entity link formats
  • Tedious syntax has no other benefits than omitting the domain name
  • musicbrainz.org domain will not be renamed in the medium term future – And when it happens, it’s easy to rename all links with a migration script
