looking through my Jellyfin library reminded me of something I hadn’t thought about in years: cover art for music genres
does anyone have a good source for these? Google isn’t helping (at least not with any search terms I’ve tried so far). especially looking for genres that match MusicBrainz genres (tho Rate Your Music might be a reasonable substitute)
I’ll look to see if I can dig out any examples on my computer next time I’m there
Claude design? Put a list of genres and ask SVG for each, in multiple versions. You cherry pick after that, and put results here 
in all honesty, I’d prolly prefer to not use GenAI for this (in fact I think most of the Google Images results for my searches were GenAI, lol), but I do have over 700 genres in my library, some with only a few uses… on the other hand I do enjoy making playlist covers, and these are kinda similar
also, I know a lot of these already existed some time ago, because I previously found them online (will prolly try to find them offline later tonight)
edit: found some of them~ wasn’t able to find the source with reverse image search, but at least I’ve got a couple examples
On https://www.reddit.com/r/Symfonium/comments/1nl54e6/playlist_covers_i_made/ someone shared genre images. Also GenAI, and only for most prominent overall genres. But not sure how one would do meaningful distinct images for any little subgenre

I think it might be a fun challenge, and a lot of genres have somewhat distinct visual styles, but I can see where I might run into some issues, at least with my library… like differentiating between similar regional folk genres (or even regular folk genres, lol), for example
