Nitpick: If this is being ranked by number of comments, it’s more like “popular” edits rather than "
“controversial” edits.
One would expect a “controversial” ranking to be edits with a high number of voters where the ratio of “yes” to “no” is similar, or “abstain” outnumbers “yes” and “no”. A lot of edits listed on this page are not, in fact, controversial at all.
