Could I suggest/request a proof of work/Cloudflare/captcha type of system instead of IP blocks? I tried probably a dozen IPs today but couldn’t get any to connect (I only use VPN). Can’t load anything except the forum.

The server has blocked my IP address again. I only managed to tag one album using their MusicBrainz Picard software with my linked account, and the server blocked me. I also can’t access https://musicbrainz.org/; I get this error:

I’m getting PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR on Firefox and ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED on Chrome. I’m thinking this could have been caught up in a block.
Edit: Nevermind, I realized after I posted this it was only on one device. That made me wonder whether it was that device’s dynamic IPv6 address that was blocked and not the shared IPv4 of the network. After refreshing the IPv6 addresses, it works again.

That’s what I get for trusting ai to help me with the coding for the api calls. Ive now corrected the problem.

Unblocked now. But if it keeps happening, maybe you should make sure you don’t have some dodgy residential proxy malware installed.
