There is a final choice at the end of every and any edit I made in MusicBrainz “Make all edits votable”. I am a new user and click on this diligently, but should I? Are there information types where this is not necessary and avoiding it would be the better way to go (1) to avoid overload and/or (2) to make the information appear faster?
Yes, there are several edits (mostly edits adding data to the database) that are applied immediately without voting. Those edits are called auto edits, see https://musicbrainz.org/doc/Edit
Checking the “Make all edits votable” is useful if you are unsure about data and would like to have it reviewed by others.
Thank you! Then I won’t always select “Make all edits votable” in the future.
