ListenBrainz plugin for Rhythmbox and support in Lollypop

Just curious, do you have experience or interest in packaging RPM specs for something like this?

A bit of experience, but actually no interest. Packaging quickly becomes a PITA and I’m already handling too much packaging for other projects for systems I don’t even use. If somebody would be willing to write and test a .spec file for this I would consider putting this in my account on the openSUSE Build Service, though.

Okay, I was curious. I’m authoring an article on the Fedora Magazine to publish in March about applications for music fans and tweakers. I’ll see if I can drop a link out to your repo at least. :slightly_smiling_face:

Good news: The ListenBrainz plugin has now been merged into Rhythmbox. So hopefully we will see a new Rhythmbox release with the plugin included soon

I saw that merge request land, super excited for upstream support!

This works well in gmusicbrowser (manually editing the audioscrobbler.pm plugin as you mentioned up the thread). No coding expertise required, just awareness of where the plugins are saved. Sorry for the necropost but it deserves thanks for you pointing it out!
