Claude Nougaro’s song “Le jazz et la java” is clearly inspired by “Three to get ready” by The Dave Brubeck Quartet

On the sacem site, Brubeck is not credited as composer. Only Jacques Datin

On secondhandsongs we have Brubeck as composer and Datin as lyricist with nougaro

So, in your opinions, what’s the best way to deal with this in MB ?

Interesting. It’s at least “based on” but it’s actually more an arrangement although that’s usually for classical only. I would not consider which composer credits are noted somewhere if the authorship is clearly audible.
