I have just added a release not yet in MB (Greatest Sports Rock and Jams, Vol. 2). I would like to make it a complete and accurate as I can. I keep seeing references to a Disc ID but have NO idea how find it to enter in the release. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I read how to calculate one, butam at a loss as to how to go about it)

If you have the disc and MusicBrainz Picard, it’s actually pretty easy. Have a look at the How To documentation.

Thanx…It sounds like I went about it the long long long way! What about adding artwork and music samples?

I don’t think there is any shortcut way of adding cover art, other than through the add cover art link on the release page on the website. As for music samples, if you mean acoustids, they can be done automatically (sort of) through Picard. I always have trouble remembering just exactly how to do it that way, so I usually end up scanning the files with the AcoustID Fingerprinter after they have been tagged.
