Maybe my workflow is a bit odd but I frequently change between saving with and without file renaming and it feels a bit tedious that I have to open the preferences to select how to save.
For me it would make sense to have a “save” option that save the file file without renaming and a “save as …” where I could select a file renaming script (which preferably would default to the script previously selected).
This sounds like it can be fairly easily addressed using option profiles, which can be enabled and disabled from the menu bar on Picard’s main screen.
From the main screen menu bar you can also turn on/off individual options to rename files, move files and save tags, all without having to open the Options dialog.
