Elektra Entertainment as a release label

I will count the hours though I still hope that it cab easily be expressed in minutes :smiley:

I have a mainly UK\Euro collection, so only own half a dozen Elektra CDs. But those I’ve looked at seems to have that split between a label with one word, and a company with a longer name. I’d agree at the mission to move them, but it is a pity we can’t find a magic automated option.

@tigerman325 @fmera @IvanDobsky @chabreyflint Thanks for support :+1: :clap:

Unfortunately my search was about the new Elektra Entertainment and I missed some open edits for the old one:

Thanks again!

Concerning Elektra relationships:
I took a look at the relationships of the current Elektra imprint. It was easy to move/remove release level copyrights, but then…

I found some Italian releases with copyrights licensed to “Elektra/Warner Music Italy” (see https://open.spotify.com/album/66cooIaZVF8P9vM0fXNtn4) - probably another company…

The first approach seems to be more reasonable as the latter is practically impossible. Big companies do constantly reorganise, restructure and regroup. A lot of people make a living from that.

But it’s not that easy - what’s with Elektra/Asylum Records? It’s not two companies - Elektra and Asylum Records. Actually, some Elektra copyrights were built in this manner, but I changed them.

Some of these are already mentioned in the Elektra annotation. The history is great, but some information towards present is clearly missing. Which companies were behind the new Elektra label (after 2009). It looks like Elektra Entertainment LLC is one candidate, but the Italian branch of Warner also seems to have a subsidiary for the Elektra label.
(and there’s probably more)
