Do "clean" versions of songs get their own work?

If no I’m assuming that we use the explicit version of the Work. Some clean versions have different lyrics than the explicit version. Does this mean they should get their own Work. If they do, how do we relate the clean and explicit versions of Works?

Assuming the censorship is only a few words then usually it is the same WORK, but different RECORDING.

It would be like an artist missing a few words out at a concert, or doing a radio edit, the song is still seen as basically the same song. Remixes also usually link to the same work.

Unless there is a significant amount of lyrics change, like an entire verse or something (rare, but it happens), I’d say no, not just for a few words different or less.

Do not create a second work. What you described does not come close to another song, which is what it would have to be. Always consult like you just did. Good job.
