I just re-read those topics by Madir and came across this comment by @reosarevok

On MusicBrainz we have such a thing as “miscellaneous role” where you can enter the role as a free text field - for a lot of these, this would seem sensible (at least at first until we figure out they need their own relationship).

That would be a welcome feature on BB.
